Pieterson allowed to play Reverse Sweep

The law makers at Lords have cleared Kevin Pieterson and allowed him to play his reverse sweep shot, or reverse slog as Geoff calls it, after hitting two large sixes in the first ODI against New Zealand. In both shots Pieterson turned around and controversially decided to play the shots as a left hander.

My opinion of the shot is that its good that the law makers have decided there’s nothing wrong with it. The bowlers have got quite a large chance to get Pieterson out. When they see him swapping hands theirs an opportunity for them to either bowl a Yorker full into the block hole, or bowl a head high bouncer; both either dismissing Pieterson or not allowing him to play the shot.

Todays game, which has been affected by rain, is currently in the balance with both sides in with shout for victory.
